Show SOCIETY NEVS Mr. and Mrs. J- E. Fisher o Pocatello, Idaho, were guests of Mrs. Fisher's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Child the past week end. N. I. P. club members and guests were entertained by Mrs. Mary Bird at the home of her pa rents Mr. and Mrs. Ed Williams, Spanish I Fork. The orizes of the evening j were awarded to Miss Mabel Aver-i Aver-i ett, Springville and Mrs. Ruth Wil-i Wil-i liams of Spanish Fork. A tasty luncheon was served to Miss Hilda Clegg, Miss Luella Straw, Miss Averett, Mrs. Fay Thomas, Mrs. Ann Stewart, Mrs. Sara Bell Stewart, Stew-art, Mrs. Lucille Packard, Mrs. Andra Jensen, Mrs. Cloris Kindred, Mrs. Alton Palfreyman, Springville, Mrs. Louise Brown, Mrs. Theo Phillips, Provo, Mrs. Lora Bowen, Mrs. Lois White, Mrs. Ruth Williams, Wil-liams, Spanish Fork and Mrs. Blanche Hales, Springville, the latter lat-ter five being guests. At the last meeting of the Moth-eis' Moth-eis' Study club held at the home of Mrs Ella Reynolds, Mrs. Lucille Stowell gave an instructive talk on the people, music and dance of different nations, explaining the effect ef-fect of each upon history. The life of a nation illustrated in song and dance was given by Miss Helen Palfieyman and Miss Marva Hod-son. Hod-son. Yvonne Baker and Mrs. Stowell entertained with a piano f Miss Jane Alleman, Miss Ruth i Christensen and Gene Alleman of ' Salt Lake, were week end guests of 1 Mr. and Mrs. Harold Alleman. j j Mrs. Dona Snell entertained j members of the Second ward Mi I Kan Wee class at a chicken dinner : Monday evening. Mrs. Reed Dallin was honor guest at a miscellaneous shower Monday evening given at the home of Mrs. Glenn Dallin. A delightful program including a duet, Joy Fullmer and Lucille Brown; reading, Delpha Dallin; piano solo, Mary Bird ; violin solo, Leon Dallin, accompanied accom-panied by Blanch Hales, was given. Games led by Mrs. Doris Bird were j also enjoyed. Luncheon was served j to nearly thirty" relatives and I friends. The bride received many beautiful gifts. Out of town guests included Mrs. Orson Slack, Mrs. Geoige Young. Mrs. LeRoy Olsen, Mrs. La vert Johnson, Provo, Mrs. Sophia Thurgood, Spanish Fork. Mrs. E. S. Groesbeck was elected president of the Ladies' Literary club at the regular meeting-Saturday afternoon with Mrs. V. C. Mendenhall, Men-denhall, vice president, Mrs. T. L. duet. Luncheon was served to fifteen fif-teen club members and eight guests present. Kolob stake Primary social hour will be held in the Thistle ward chapel, Saturuay, April 23, with of-licers of-licers and teachers of that organization, organi-zation, .acting as hostesses. Daughters of Pioneers Camp No. 1 met with Mrs. Eva Crandall last Thursday afternoon with Mrs.' Erma Gudmundsen, Mrs. Ella Aliner and Airs. Julia Maycock as assisting hostesses. The meeting was held at the home of M;s. E. A. Jacobsen and marks the close of regular meeting this season. A special program pro-gram with mothers as honor guests will be held Alay 7. The sophomore class of the high school enjoyed a weinie roast in Hobble Crock canyon Saturday evening. Airs. L. L. Baker will be hostess to the Mothers' Study club at her home Friday afternoon.
