Show JEFFERSON DAY BANQUET SET The founder of the Democratic party, Thomas Jefferson, will be honored by Democrats of Utah I county in a banquet at the First j ward hall next Wednesday evening, in speech and music. Arrangements for tiie banquet are complete, according ac-cording to Abe W. Turner, member of the committee in charge, who slates that an interesting program has been arranged for the 200 guests expected at the fete. There will he four main speakers at the banquet. George S. Ballif of Provo wiil speak on "Jefferson and Loncoln." George A. Fisher, Heber City will use us his subject "Jefferson "Jeffer-son and Wilson." The other two speakers are Wallace Brockbank of Spanish Fork and John L. Clarke, American Fork. Robert L. Elliott, county chairman of the Democratic parly will be the master of ceremonies and Mr. Turner will be the toastmaster. Stale Chairman Delbert Draper, Salt Lake and Mrs. Inez Knight Allen, Provo, state commit tee woman, wo-man, will be called upon for short speeches alsp, Mr. Turner says. The music for the affair will be furnished by the ladies' auxiliary quartet of Provo with . numbers from Springville and Payson, not yet announced. A group of Democrats in the county who have served the longest for the party will act as the reception recep-tion committee. Part of this committee com-mittee has been named as follows; j Mr. and Mrs. Abel John Evans, Lf:hi; Mr. and Mrs. James H. , Clarke, American Fork; Charles B. j Harper, Pleasant Grove, and Mr. and Mis.
