The Mutual Improvement Associates Associa-tes of Hinckley and Deseret met In debate last evening at the latter town where tho question, "Resolved, That United States Senators should be elected by popular vote," was discussed, dis-cussed, and the Deseret talkers got off with the most points. William Stapley and John Reeve defended the negative for Hinckley und William N. Gardner and Neils Peterson were on the affirmative for Deseret Both sides had very good arguments and showed that they had considerable Information Informa-tion on the subject. A largo crowd was In attendance and much spirit and enthusiasm manifested. The townspeople and students of the academy are busy preparing the circular track on the High School grounds for the coming Mutual Improvement Im-provement track and field meet, which will be held at Hinckley in the early part of May.
