OCR Text	Show CARTER MAY ENTER CABINET. Rumored That Montana Ex-Senator is to be Attorney-General. Washington. former Senatoi Thomas II. Carter of Montana, who retired from the United State senate ou March 4, will enter the cabinet ol President Taft within the next few months, according to the story being told In Washington and which Is gon erally believed here. Changes In the cabinet are known to be Impending, and they will be such that Senatoi Carter will be tendered and will ac cent the portfolio of the department of Justice, and Attorney General George W. Wlckersham will succeed Secretary of State Philander Ch;ie Knox, who will retire from the cabl net. Nothing authoritative! can be secured from the White House con cerning these changes and the cabinet cabi-net officials interested decline to be quoted. Hut the change Is predicted by those In a position to know.
