Show Pageant To Be Given Early Christmas Preparations are well underway and rehearsals have commenced for the second annual early Christmas Christ-mas morning community pageant, which is to ha given at 6 a. m. Monday, Mon-day, December 25th, in the Alpine Stake tabernacle. This year the program will consist of a drama and pageant combined, entitled "The Last Carol," the story depicting an imagjinative scene from the life of Franz Guber, composer of "Silent Night." In the singing of carols, in drama and pantomine, the theme is developed to make an inspirational inspiration-al Xmas service worthy of a large attendance. The M. I. A. stake activity com-i mittee will be in charge. The cast, chorus, etc. have been selected from ' the four wards and the stake board. ' Last year there were some who: accepted the announcement of thej first early Xmas morning service with reluctance, but the many who attended came away with a better feeling of the Christmas 'spirit and deeper understanding of "its signifi-1 cance. It proved to be : the finest program of the holiday season. The : service this year will no doubt surpass sur-pass that of last and the workers ( responsible for it hope that the pag- j eant may continue as an annual ' event. The response given by the community will largely determine i this. j |
