Show j Ten Years Ago j Now (Taken From Files of Dec. 15, 1923) The band boys, under the direc-ton direc-ton of A. R. Overlade, gave a splendid splen-did concert program Wednesday. Funds were raised to assist in financing fin-ancing the band. Ten Years Ago Now Irving Johnson met with a painful pain-ful accident while hauling ore in American Fork canyon last week. He was assisting Ezra Swenson whose team could not make it over the dugway at the mouth of the canyon can-yon and had unhitched his own team to give the other team a lift. He was thrown to the the ground when the single tree caught in his glove and dragged for some distance suffering cuts and bruises and a dislocated dis-located shoulder. Ten Years Ago Now The birthdays of J. R. Halliday and Mrs. Pearl Wadlcy which are so close together, were the motif for a party gven by their mutual friends and neighbors last Friday night. The crowd first surprised Mr. Halliday and then proceeded to the Wadlcy home where they remained and sient the evening. Ten Years Ago Now At ward conference held in the First ward Sunday evening, Junius A. West was sustained as first counselor coun-selor to Bishop Olpin, Alroy H. West having resigned as counselor some time ago. Ten Years Ago Now The Pleasant Grove Fruit and Vegetable Cooperative Association have shipped thirty carloads of fruit this season and all growers have been paid in full for their products. |
