Show Local Students Register At JL S. A. C. LOGAN Jack Spencer of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove, winner of a $25 scholarship scholar-ship to the Utah State Agriculture College, is now registered at the college, according to word received this week from the Registrars Office. Jack was awarded this scholarship because of outstanding work done in High School scholarship, activity, activ-ity, and personality. He is registered regis-tered in the school of agriculture and will begin his winter quarter's work on January 3, 1934. Margaret Kirk and Ray West of Pleasant Grove, were among) the prize winners at the Utah State Agricultural Show contest held at the college November 18. Miss Kirk was winner of the apple identification identi-fication contest for women students, for which she was awarded one hundred hun-dred pounds of sugar donated by the Utah-Idaho Sugar company. Mr. West as second place winner in the apple identification contest for men students and second place winner in the fruit exhibitions contest; con-test; for which he will receive a $2.50 order of nursery stock from the Porter Walton Nursery company of Salt Lake Citv. |
