Show UTAH WHEAT GROWERS TO GET 5738,693 FROM GOVERNMENT Approximately $738,693 wul be paid to Utah wheat growers by the federal fede-ral government for curtailing production pro-duction in Utah for 1934-35, according accord-ing to preliminary information in the office of Director William Peterson, Pet-erson, manager of the agricultural adjustment administration for the state. Of the foregoing amount about $49,618 will be paid to county and community committeemen, practic- I ally all of whom are wheat growers, for their services in acquainting the ; farmers with the proposition, filling out applications, contracts and the necessary supplementary papers required re-quired by the Washington office. According to the last reports reaching Director Peterson, a total of 4,557,377 bushels of wheat are represented by those who have signed sign-ed contracts out of a total average production of 5,554,981 bushels or approximately 80 per cent of the state's wheat production and 80 per cent of the wheat acreage. Payments Pay-ments will be made as soon as the papers are cleared in Washington.
