Show AVIATION DAYS FAIL TO CAUSE INTEREST MERCHANTS ARE LEFT HOLDING THE SACK Aviation Days here passed off last Friday and Saturday with little excitement. ex-citement. True, when once the planes were. -sighted over Milford there was some scurrying around to get tickets. Milford business men had offered tickets in connection with purchases made at their stores but there was little interest manifested. By afternoon of the first day, the pilots were offering to take up passengers pas-sengers for two dollars and a half inasmuch as the planes were scheduled schedul-ed to make a two-day stop here. Many Milford people availed themelves of this opportunity to take an airplane ride. However, the drawings at the local stores during the two weeks previous had attracted only those who had happened to be there at the time. All of the merchants were left with some tickets on their hands, many of which were given away complimentary. This lack of interest is unexplain-able unexplain-able unless it be because of the fact that airplanes are no longer much of a novelty. |
