Show BEING PREPARED BY ATIi-ETtC CLUB WILL HAVE STEEL WIRK SURROUNDING AND HARD SURFACE A hard-surfaced tennis court is now in the making over north of the rail- way station. The court is being put in by the Union Pacific Employees Athletic Association. This organization, which has taken a load in the past for improvements j about Miiford, not only will hnnr.ee the building of the court, but ;n addition, ad-dition, will boast a fast baseball club, and has just finished a well-rounded basketball schedule. Walter C. Barnes and Roy Cottrel! vere deputized ss a committee to 'mild the court. They have been at vork for the past week, and expect to have the court all in shape for matches in about five or six days. A twelve-foot steel wire netting will completely surround the new court. The netting will be supported on steel frames. The floor of the court will be of cejnent. Altogether, it will make for as good a court as it is possible to construct. |
