Show MINERSVILLE NEWS Mrs. Virgene Jameson entertained he Gleaner Girls at her home last Wednesday. Those present were. Mabel Barnett, Winnie LaFevre, Ber-oha Ber-oha Pryor, Prescinda Mathews, . Lula Thompson, Larue Myers, Iona Evans, Sffie Wood, Beth Rollins, Mildred 'lardy and the hostess. A delicious 'uncheon was served at about 11 'clock. Small Boy Badly Hurt Mickie, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pryor, met with a seri; us accident Friday, April 20. Whik iis mother was outside, he turneo n the washer and his arm got caught n the wringer. When Mrs. Pryor :ame in she saw him but could not ;et his armj out, so she screamed for 'ier neighbors, who came over and re-no re-no ved the child from the washer. The boy is reported doing nicely. His irm was badly crushed to the shoulder. should-er. Mrs. Roy Wilkenson of Lynndyl, is tere for medical treatment. She is itaying with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James E. Banks. The B. A. C. at Cedar City, present-d present-d a play here called, "Enter Madame" Saturday, April 21. Everyone enjoyed enjoy-ed it immensely. Mel Marshall has been seriously ill with pleural pneumonia but is getting get-ting along as well as could be expected. ex-pected. The Minersville high school presented present-ed their school play, My 2, entitled, "Mail Order Brides," in the high school gym. Miss Larue Myers and Miss Mildred Hardy were Sunday afternoon guests of Mrs. Lawrence Thompson of Greenville. Mrs. Laura Corbridge and family are expecting to make their home at the Parrish farm this sunvmer. Mrs. Earl Alverson of Stockton, Ut., is here visiting with her friends and relatives. Members of the Mother's Club gave a Stork Shower in honor of Mrs. Ethel Myers. Many beautiful presents pres-ents were received. A delicious luncheon lunch-eon was served. Miss Mabel Barnett entertained her Gleaner Girl's Wednesday night at her home. The evening was spent in playing "Bunco," and puzzle games and checkers. Prizes were given to Bertha Pryor as winning first prize; Mildred Hardy won second prize, and consolation prize was given to Prescinda Pres-cinda Mathews. Mrs. Virgene Jameson and Mrs. Beatrice Griffiths entertained at a shower in honor of Mrs. Merle Jameson Jame-son Friday evening. Games were the feature of the evening. A luncheon was served at midnight. Mrs. Melvin Wittwer and Mrs. Dave Banks entertained at a shower for Mrs. John Gunn Tuesday afternoon after-noon at Mrs. Wittwer's home. Progressive Pro-gressive Five-Hundred was the feature fea-ture of the afternoon. Miss Mabel Barnett won the high score prize and Mrs. Winnie Roberts won the consola-I consola-I tion prize. A delicious lunchon wa served. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Wittwer, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Worthin, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Banks motored to Adamsville Thursday evening and were the dinner din-ner guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Gunn. |
