Show Moab 4-H Club News Notes I -m. .V - -K- Mayor McDougald signed a proclamation Tuesday afternoon after-noon declaring August 16-22 4-H Week here in Moab. This comes in conjunction with the 4-H annual Exhibit where work over the year will be judged with top winners qualifying to go to the Utah State Fair. Along with the annual 4-H Exhibit the Heritage Fair will also be held next week. Anyone in Grand County is invited to exhibit what they would like, particularly the Heritage Arts: quilts, canning, crafts, handwork, antiques, etc. The open exhibiting will be for exhibit only. Schedule The schedule for the Heritage Heri-tage Fair begins August 16 at 1 p.m. and continues till 4 p.m. All non-perishable items will be received at the Southeast Elementary School. All items must be in by 4 p.m. On August 17, from 7 to 8 a.m. all perishable items; foods, vegetables, flowers, etc. will be received. No items will be accepted late, as judging of the 4-H exhibits will begin at 9 p.m. , Also on the 17th a dog show at Southeast Elementary will begin at 8 a.m. Following at 10 a.m. will be a cat show also at Southeast Elementary. Also from 9 to 10 a.m. judging of 4-H exhibits will take place. At 1 p.m. .the fair will be open with the following scheduled: 1-2:30 p.m. exhibits exhib-its and demonstrations of Heritage Arts; 2:30 p.m., 4-H Demonstrations and Talks, 4 p.m. Heritage Arts Demonstrations Demon-strations wiU resume, 5 p.m. rehearsal for style review, 6:30 p.m., pick up 4-H clothing items, 7 p.m. exhibits will close and all entries should be picked up right after this time; and at 7:30 p.m. dress revue and talent show will be held. |
