Show SOCIALISTS ARE TO NAME A TIQKET Weber county Socialists will hold their county " convention Thursday night in Union Labor hall on Twenty-fourth street and will nominate a full county ticket to be placed on the November ballot. Members of the local organization state that they are in a belter condition to cast a largo voto in the coming election than over before. Prank Parsons, "who is chairman of the .campaign committee, states that more Hteraturo will be distributed during tho campaign this year than in any previous year and that a number num-ber of lecture meetings will bo held. One of those meetings Is planned for next Sunday night, when Gcorgo R. Kirtpatrlck of New York City will speak In Eagles' hall on Hudson avenue. ave-nue. Kirtpatrlck is the author of "War. What For?" and Is one of the best orators in the party. The Socialists have secured the ugo of the Ogden tabernacle for their meeting of October S. when Emll Seidel, their vice presidential candidate, candi-date, will be the spoaker. Last night Ben F. Wilson of Kansas delivered a talk on Socialism from the steps of the City hall. Although tho night was quite cool several hundred hun-dred persons listened throughout the address. |
