Show . : , : r j Chairman Reports On Total Funds From Polio Drive Of the county total of $25,259.72 collected in the recent polio drive, Springville contributed $2290, according ac-cording to a report released this week. The amount collected in the county this year, more than doubled doub-led that contribution last year, according ac-cording to Howard Willis of Springville, chairman of the drive. Mr. Willis expressed thanks to all who contributed to the successful success-ful drive. A breakdown of individual towns revealed the following contributed from each: Alpine, $84.55; American Fork, $1,413.07; Benjamin, $225.04; Cedar Ce-dar Fort and Fairfield, $17.40; Alberta, Al-berta, $25; Genola, $98.55; Goshen, $121.26; Lakeshore, $246.57; Lake-view, Lake-view, $124.55; Lehi, $993.64; Le-land, Le-land, $36.75; Lindon, $103.83; Ma-pleton, Ma-pleton, $240.88; Orem, $1139.52; Palmyra, $90.05; Payson, $3240.56; (81 cents per person)-; Pleasant Paul Robinson Grove, $1050.22; Provo $10,241.86; Salem, $324.12; Santaquin, $217.; Spanish Fork, $2218.68; Spring-lake, Spring-lake, $99.03; Springville, $2290.; Thistle, $136.68; Vineyard, $10. Mr. Willis reported that another $470.91 was turned into the county office in donations after the receipt re-ceipt books had been closed, however, how-ever, this total was included in the grand total. |
