Show Crow Country Opens Thousands Registering for Reservation Land Can Eegister Until June 28. HILLINGS, MONTANA, June i ,'00, The opening of the Crow Indian Reservation commenced hero Thursday, Thurs-day, June llth, registration having beep commenced on that day. Thu registration is being conducted by Chief Clerk Lewis of the General Land olllce and six assistants. Several thousand persons registered Thursday, Friday and Saturday and groat crowds are looked for again next week. Extensive preparations have been made by the city business Interests to accommodate the visitors, and crowds aro being handled without the slightest dllllcuity without taxing their capacity. Unlike other reservation reserva-tion openings, no fabulous prices arc being exacted for accommodations. First class meals arc obtained for 2.1c each and sleeping accommodations can be secured at the rate of r0c per night. One large ciicus tent restaurant restaur-ant Is prepared to meal 5,000 persons dally. Np gambling of any sort Is permitted to run by the authorities and owing to the clllclcncy of the regular and extra police force no crimes of any sort have jet been committed. com-mitted. A notablo feature Is the absence from the city of fakirs and crooks, they being unable to work on account of vigilance of the oillccrs, and the mayor and authorities aro being congratulated for the able manner In which they arc fulfilling their duties. Everything In connection with the opening Is being carried on in the best possible manner, and visitors from all parts of the United States are dally expressing their satisfaction with the welcome and treatment accorded ac-corded them In the city.
