Show For a General Cleaning Up Board of Health Notes a Few Things and Urges Citizens to Get Busy Quick. The Board of lit alth desires to make llie following statement to the public: Wo have recently mado a more or less thorough canvas of tho sanitary conditions of the city, and while the general health of the community Is good we found many conditions that arc dangerous to tho health of the people. We found many things that should not exist In a city the sUe of Logan, to remedy some of which, persons concerned will no doubt In some instances in-stances feel that their personal rights are Infringed upon. We trust the citizens will appreciate the position of the Board of Health and stand willing to unite with It In an effort to better the sanitary conditions in the city and render safe the health of the people. In view of these condltlqnstlip board of health makes these requests of those concerned, with the statement state-ment that conditions demand that the matter be strictly followed up and people be compelled to conform with tho law that Is Intended to serve the Interests of the community at large. 1. It is requested that all corrals outhouses etc , the drainage of which at any time of tho year finds Its way Into any water course, be removed and so arranged that they arc safe from a sanitary standpoint. 2 That any pond from which Ice shall be taken for public use be properly prop-erly cleaned and tho water used for lilllng such pond be pure and that no Ice shall In the futuro be stood for public distribution from any pond or place without a written permit from the board of health. .'1. That no cesspool shall be allowed allow-ed to, become full, and that all such pools shall be properly covered and kept so covered. 4. That all out houses within a radius of two blocks from a point midway mid-way between Center and First Nortli street, on Contcr street, be provided with suitable boxes for emptying purposes pur-poses or with satisfactory cesspool arrangements. ar-rangements. r. That every business house be provided with a garbage box that will conform to tho requirements of the Board of Health, specifications of which will be presented to those concerned. con-cerned. These boxes must bo emptied regularly as provided by the Board of Health. 0, That no dead animal bo left within the limits of Logan city unless burled by law, and that no animal under un-der any circumstances bo left unburl-ed unburl-ed or otherwise within the canyon, and within ten miles of Logan city. but tbat all such animals be taken away from the canyon for burial. 7t That no manure, rubbish or any athcr objectionable material bo placed or allowed to remain where tho drainage drain-age from tho same shall find Its way Into Logan river above Logan city. 8. That no rubbish of any kind be placed at any point other than tnc city dumping grounds, whether It bo to till holes, ravines, etc., or not. Now as to the above, tho business men will be approached with a propo sltlon to pay a rcasonablo sum to the city, or which garbage boxes, outhouses, out-houses, etc , will bo properly cleaned, or to give satisfactory assurance that these things will be properly attcnricJ toby tho respective Individuals.
