Show i Mr. and Mrs. Don Stevens and children of Salt Lake City were week-end visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Weight. Mrs. Lutie Watts left recently for Lynndyl, where she plans to spend the winter months with her daughter, Mrs. Otto V. Ivie, and family. She was accompanied by her son, R. L. Watts, who will attend at-tend school there. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell L. Johnson and children, of Berkley, Calif., have spent the past two weeks here as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Ostlund and their daughter, Norma Rae. They also visited other oth-er relatives in the city. Mrs. Leo P. Seibold, the former Margaret Ewing and baby son, are visiting this month with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Ewing. They came here from San Francisco, Francis-co, Calif. Wilford Pulsipher, who came from Denver, Colo., to attend conference con-ference in Salt Lake City, visited in this city with Mrs. Pulsipher's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Blan-chard. Blan-chard. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Grant returned re-turned the past week from Butte, Mont., where they went by plane to visit their son Jay, who is stationed sta-tioned in the Navy School of Mines at that place. Lenore Hopla, employed at Remington Rem-ington Arms, Salt Lake City, spent her vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Hopla, and with other relatives and friends at Map-leton. Map-leton. Mrs. Ray Richards and infant son, Darrell Garff, who with the other two children have been in Salt Lake City for the past five weeks, returned home this week. Since coming from the hospital, Mrs. Richards has been with her mother, Mrs. R. B. Garff. V V Mr. and Mrs. Milton Hartley recently re-cently moved from Springville to American Fork to make their home. Mr. and Mrs. James Neighbors Neigh-bors and son James, Jr., have also moved to American Fork. Both families came here for the Geneva Steel plant project. Mrs. Edith Blanchard left the past week for her home in Long Beach, Calif., after spending several sev-eral weeks with friends in Springville. Spring-ville. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Shepherd plan to leave this week for Pennsylvania, Penn-sylvania, their native state, to visit relatives and friends. The Shepherds Shep-herds came here towork on the new steel plant project. Mrs. Flora Maiben and sons, Henry and Dean, returned Tuesday Tues-day from a delightful trip to Pullman, Pull-man, Wash., where they visited a son and brother, Louis Maiben, who is enrolled as an Army Air cadet in the state university at Pullman. Lamar J. Miner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Miner, has been promoted pro-moted to technician, fifth class, according to word received from headquarters of the Air Corps, Army Air Base, in Salt Lake City, where he is stationed. Mrs. John Blanchard returned this week from Tooele, where she spent a few days with her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Marvin Smith (Betty Blanchard) and husband. Garney Johnson of Modesto, Calif., spent several days of this week visiting his sister, Mrs. Fred Weight and family, and also with friends here. He came especially for general conference in Salt Lake. Keith Beardall, who is at present stationed at Fort Douglas, visited on Sunday here with relatives and friends. t w m Blake Holley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Holley, is spending a few days' furlough here with relatives and friends. |
