Show . A NUMBER OF PARTIES HAVE BEEN GIVEN the past week complimenting Mrs. William J. Miller, Jr., the former Anita Palfreyman, who was married mar-ried Wednesday evening. In her honor a shower was given giv-en by her mother at Valley Tavern for about thirty-five relatives and friends. The evening- was spent with a delightful book review given giv-en by Mrs. Mae Huntington, and delicious refreshments served. The guest of honor received many lovely love-ly gifts. She was showered again with a party at the Palfreyman home for neighbors, about fifteen of whom attended. At this time, Mrs. Helen Thorpe gave an interesting review of the book, "The Robe," and lunch was served in conclusion. On last Wednesday evening, girl friends of the bride entertained with a shower at the home of Elaine Cherrington. They presented present-ed the bride with a lovely gift, as did other invited guests. The time was spent in visiting and a delicious lunch was served by the hostesses. |
