Show STALIN SPEAKS OF SUPPORT GIVEN RUSSIA BY ALLIES What do you know? Premier Joseph Stalin, dictator of Russia, has issued an appeal to the people of the United States, suggesting that they will promote the "joint effort of the Allies to achieve victory" by participating in the present War Loan. The Soviet leader points out that, "our American friends who are participating in the manufacture manufac-ture of supplies and provisions are rendering great support in the fight with our common enemy" ,and that the Red Army is "successfully "suc-cessfully employing planes, tanks, guns and other munitions and equipment which are received from the Allied United States and Great Britain." This message, while rather unusual, unus-ual, seems to refute the fears of our temperamental columnists and broadcasters who have been worried wor-ried lest the Allies fall apart. It seems that Stalin recognizes an alliance al-liance and appreciates the help that has been given to his country. |
