Show Firs. Classes Of Defense School Underway Here National Defense Course A-l, repair re-pair of tractors, trucks and automobiles, auto-mobiles, got underway last Mon day. The instruction is being offered of-fered ml the last half of the Idaho Oil building at First South on State street. Franklin county has rented the building from the Baugh Motor Mo-tor company of Logan; so that this work might get undr way. Royal Miles, formerly tractor mechanic for the Stanger Implement Imple-ment company, is the instructor for the course. Two, sections of the course are being offered. The first meets five days per week from 9:00a. m. to 12:00 noon. The second; sec-ond; meets five days per week from 7:00 to 10:00 p. m. Thirty young men between the ages of 17 to 24 are now enrolled in these cours.es. This work ie-being financed for the most part by Federal funds handled through the State Department Depart-ment of Vocational Education. These funds are available for instructor's in-structor's salaries, equipment and supplies. Local supervision of this work is placed with the local schools and an advisory committee. commit-tee.
