Le-Koy Le-Koy McBride ot Dayton liavo announced an-nounced the marriage of then-daughter, then-daughter, Melha, to Willis Palmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Pal-mer Pal-mer of Preston. The wedding ceremony was per formed in) tile Logan temple Wed nesday. February 2G. Mr. and Mrs. Palmer left immediately imme-diately on a short wedding trip to Salt Lake City. A trousseau tea honoring the bride was given by Mrs. McBride at her home on Sunday. Miss Thora Palmer oC Preston, a sister of the groom, and Miss Zelma Mickelson had1 charge oi the trousseau room. Mrs. Sara Sant and Miss Itowene Archibald had charge 'of the serving. Among the out-of-town guests who -called during tea hours were Mrs. Mabel Olsen, Mrs. Ileber Cooper, Miss Beth Cooper, Mrs. Eva Green, Mrs. Mary Green, Miss Fae Stuart all of Wellsville, Utah; Mrs. Kenneth Kidman, Petersboro, Utah; Miss Rosalee Stuart, Logan, Utah; Mrs. Margaret Shumway of Treasureton, Idaho; Miss Grace Palmer, Salt Lake City, Utah. ELDER HANSEN SEES GAIN IN, MISSION An interesting account of the activities in the Florida mission field was related by Loyal A. Hansen, Han-sen, son of Mr. and Mrs. L L. Hansen Han-sen of Preston, in a letter to his parents the past week. "Cur missionaries are doing exceptionally ex-ceptionally fine work, and are con- tacting many more people with a J more favorable reception than ever before," Elder Hansen wrote. 1 He also enclosed a clipping of a newspaper interview he had with a Jacksonville newspaper in regard to the screen production "Brighani Voung." In it the Preston elder highly commends the producers of the turn for the fine historical characterization. Elder Hansen is a district president presi-dent of the mission at the present time. |
