Show PRESTON G.A.A. WINS OVER MALAD GIRLS Tho Preston, G.A.A. took the Ma-lad Ma-lad G.A.A. to a merry trimming Friday in their "play day" at Ma-lad. Ma-lad. They proved victorious in every ev-ery game they entered except for two which were tied. The games began at 1 p. m. with volleyball, badminton and table tennis. ten-nis. Orleue Wanner and Mildred Andra won two games of table tennis ten-nis by the scores of 21-19 and 21-14 and lost one game to the tune of 21-19. Lila Packer and Odessa Smith won the badminton laurels with a 21-13 score. Twelve girls from Preston beat Malad 11-4; then Malad defeated Preston 11-7. In the second: round games, ring tennis and shuffle board were played. Preston took the long end of the scores in both of these games. The ring tennis scores were 21-16 and 2116. The shuft'le-board shuft'le-board scores were 75-63 and 100-69. Lenna Hyatt and Faye Packer were Preston's shufflehoard team. The "B" squad basketball team was an S-S tie. Due to lack of time, Malad chose to leave it a tie, rather than play an extra period. The "A" squad basketball was the important event of the day for both teams. The girls all played hard and fast, but Preston proved to be the suprior team. The final score was 10-5 for Preston. Preston's Pres-ton's guards did the outstanding playing on the floor, while Rita Packer, Preston forward sliot high point honors with S points. The "A" squad consisted of Lila Packer, Pac-ker, Odessa Smith, Fern Packer and Zenna Beth Crockett, guards; Rita Packer, Roma Mockli. Beruice Evans, Ida Mockli and Ethel Oli-verson, Oli-verson, forwards. There were 22 girls who made the trip with their coach. Cora Harbison.
