Show SOCIETY NEVS The wedding of Miss Mary L. Ballantyne and Paul G. Packard took place Saturday, May 5 6, "at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Larson at Sandy, Utah. Miss Ballantyne, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Ballantyne Bal-lantyne of Logaji received her education in Logan at the former B. Y. C.. and, the.. U, S.,A, C.jrq;-several C.jrq;-several years she has been employed em-ployed as teacher in the Richfield and Jordan high schools. Mr. Packard is a graduate of the B.Y.U. and is an instructor at the Richfield high school. The . ceremony was performed at 1 o'clock in the presence of members of the two families. Judge Stewart of Salt Lake City, an uncle of the bride, performed the ceremony. Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served. The living rooms were bright with decorations of red peonies and bridal wreath, red tulips formed the centerpiece on the table and white candles in crystal holders were at either end. The .bride was cnarming in her wedding gown of white lace, and carried a bouquet of talisman roses and lilies of the valley. Miss Ardell Ludlow was maid of honor and wore a gown of blue net, and carried a bouquet of talisman roses. Mr. Buys acted as best man for the bridegroom. bride-groom. The young couple will leave for Reno, Nevada, May 23, where they will make their home for the summer, after which they will return to Richfield. Daisies were featured in table decorations at a prettily arranged arrang-ed breakfast given Tuesday morning morn-ing in honor of Miss Hazel Wil- the announcement breakfast were Miss Ellen Wheeler, Miss Lillian Russell, Miss Melba Sumsion, Miss Mattie Davis, Miss Lucll Straw, Miss Berlha Bearnson, Mrs. Rca Straw, Miss Prudence Wride, Miss Angelyn Warnick, Miss Helen Palfreyman, Miss Elda Hanson, and the guest of honor. Mrs. Will Parry entertained 'a a nicely arranged dinner at her home Tuesday, the occasion being her birthday anniversary. Covers were laid for the following relatives: rela-tives: Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Sumsion. Sum-sion. Mrs. Leona Dalbey and children, chil-dren, of Oakland, Calif.; Mrs. Ernest Oakley and children Lucille Lu-cille and Oliver, Mrs. Emma Long and son Kenneth and daughter Louise, Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Oakley, Oak-ley, the host and hostess and their daughter Mildred. A delightful bon-fire party was held Monday night in Hobble Creek canyon with the following in attendance, Miss Hazel Williams, Wil-liams, Miss Angelyn Warnick, Miss Ellen Wheeler, Miss Lillian Russell, Miss Mattie Davis, Miss Bertha Bearnson, Miss Helen Pal- ' freyman, Miss Prudence Wride, Mrs. Rea Straw, Miss Luell Straw, Miss Leone Cooper, and Miss Melba Mel-ba Sumsion. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Richmond, Rich-mond, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Stautz of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Blanchard were the Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Blanchard.
