Detailed De-tailed plans for the project are not completed but Claude S. Ash-worth, Ash-worth, Provo architect, is working work-ing on plans for the structure which will be submitted to the building committee in the near future, for approval. Fire of undetermined origin last Thursday noon, destroyed several tons of hay and a hay baler belonging be-longing to Vance Gividen, at the ' Richard L. Bird ranch in Maple-; Maple-; ton. Damage was estimated at about $400 with no insurance. Gividen had just recently pur-1 pur-1 chased the hay from Bord and i had baled a portion of it. J A petition was received by thji ! city council Monday night re-: re-: questing city officers to confer i with members of the state road 1 commission in an euort to have ! the irrigation ditch running north and south on the north limits of the city, covered with cement. The petition was referred to the irrigation irri-gation committee which will con-' con-' tact state road officers on the proposition. l The council also discussed the progress of the city road oiling i project which is about two-thirds completed. Two patrolmen have been appointed to keep sharp shod horses and narrow tired wagons from portions of the road just oiled. Also a careless practice of letting waste water run near. ', sections of the roads being oiled, is delaying progress of the work which must be stopped until the ; road is completely dried. Citizens are asked to cooperate with road officials in regards to these difficulties diffi-culties now being confronted, so the best results may be obtained on the road job.
