Show STATE LIQUOR PROFIT BARED SALT LAKE CITY, May 18 tL'.P) , Net profits of S3S3.1G9.62 during- its first 11 months of opera-' opera-' tion were reported by the Utah State Liquor Commission in a report on file with Gov. Henry H. Blood today. Of this amount, the commission reported, $200,000 has gone to repay re-pay money borrowed from banks to stock state liquor stores, another an-other sum has been set aside in a reserve fund and $25,000 was deposited de-posited with the state treasury as the foundation for a special fund. Liquor sales from June 1, 1935, to April 30, 1936, .totalled $2,-940,530.64 $2,-940,530.64 the report revealed, indicating- a probable average sale for the year of $14 worth of liquor for every state resident over 20 years of age. |
