Show SAFETY PINS The man and we think maybe it was a man who invented in-vented the safety pin probably made a fortune for himself. He also gave something to the world that in one important part of every lifetime is very useful. He earned his pay. Now a safety pin is just a little thing. But it occurs to us in moments of meditation that these little things, safety pins and so on, taken all together, make for a lot of happiness or unhappiness in most lifetimes. The little things we do mean a whole lot. A brief contact con-tact with a stranger, an act of unselfishness, punctuality at a mooting, a well placed compliment, a helpful hint how one's life may be enriched by these little things! We called it a troubled world today. Maybe the world would be less troubled if a lot of little things were attended attend-ed to. Ln fact, this observer has an idea that if the little things were attended to, many of the so-called big things wouldn't be around to bother us. |
