Show CSU Sets Spring Football Events The 19G7 football schedule and spring football practices were announced this week by Coach Bill Reeske at the College Col-lege of Southern Utah. A five week spring football program will be carried out beginning on April 18 and continuing con-tinuing through May 20 to be climaxed on that date -with the annual encounter with the Alumni. Thes pring football game is scheduled under the lights on May 20 at 8 p. m. A number of outstanding lettermen are expected to participate par-ticipate in the spring practice sessions. Listed among them were ends Jerry Spackman, who won 'NAIA Ail-American honorable mention during the past season, and Gary Roy-lance. Roy-lance. At tackles will be Dick Barnett and Pat Rippee; guards will include Ron Gray and Paul Hortin. Back at quarterback will be Reid Ki-moto Ki-moto and Dave Nevins. Halfback Half-back expected for the spring drills will be Wade Bender, Doug Wolters, Jerry Towers and Bfll Lamb. The project scheduling of the Thunderbirds has a series of schools on a home and I nison to meet Western States and will open the 19C8 season sea-son against Western at Cedar City. Here is a run down of the 1967 schedule: Sept. 16: Western States at Gunnison, Cola Sept. 23: Ft. Lewis at Dur-ango, Dur-ango, Colo. Sept. 30: Adams State at Cedar Ce-dar City. Oct. 7: Azusa Pacific College Col-lege at Cedar City. Oct. 14. Hiram School of Nebraska, Ne-braska, at Cedar City. Oct. 20: Westminster at Salt Lake City. Oct. 28: New Mexico Western West-ern at Cedar City. Nov. 4: Loyola University at Los Angeles, Calif. Nov. 11: California Western at San Diego, Calif. As indicated the nine game schedule includes four home games and five on the road. The 1968 schedule includes Western States, Ft. Lewis, Westminster. PnlnraHn Mino seasons the T-Birds will tangle tan-gle with Western States of 'Gunnison, Colo., Ft. Lewis of Durango, Colorado, and Adams 'State of Alamosa, Colo., on alternating al-ternating basis.
