Show Visitations to Zion Park Show February Increase Travel to Zion National Park during February showed an increase of 11 with 15,600 visitors reported, according to Waron F. Hamilton, superintendent. superin-tendent. The south campground camp-ground was used by 183 campers cam-pers during February for a 59 increase. The Park trails damaged in the December floods are being repaired. The Canyon Overlook, Over-look, Watchman and Narrows Nar-rows tails are open. The West Rim, Emerald Pool and Weeping Weep-ing Rock Trails should be open op-en for Easter with the East Rim Trail open about June. Inquiry should be made at Park headquarters for up-to-date trail information. Supt. Hamilton emphasized that Zion National Park is open op-en all year. The spring months are a good time to visit the park. Overnight accommodations, accommoda-tions, meals, gasoline, and other visitor serv ices and supplies sup-plies are available throughout through-out the year in nearby communities. |
