Show Gun and Rod Club Planning Spring Activities Members of the Parowan Gun and Rod Club held their regular monthly meeting on March 2 at the club house, according ac-cording to Alan Stones, president. presi-dent. Special guests of the club for the evening were Foyer Foy-er Olsen and Reed Thompson of the United States Forest Service. These men work out of the Dixie Forest office in Cedar City, and explained the purpose and program of their department. The members of the Parowan Paro-wan club voted to challenge the members of the Beaver Sportsmen's Club to a rabbit hunt with the hunt to be held Saturday, March 25 at 12.30 p. m., with details to be worked work-ed out if the challenge is accepted ac-cepted by the Beaver Club. This hunt will be for club members only, however, President Presi-dent Stones reminds us that there is still plenty of time to pay your dues and become a member if you are interested. The club is now in the process pro-cess of constructing a trap range and a special work day will be held on Saturday of this week. The trap range will be in the area south and east of the Parowan City race track and rodeo grounds. All members mem-bers are urged to spend a few hours helping with the work on Saturday. A special meeting of officers of the club was held on Monday Mon-day night at which time two new members were named to the board to serve during the year. They were Vern Holyoak and Sherwin Benson. The April meeting of the club will be held on Thursday, : April 6, at the club house, ac- j cording to President Stones. I |
