Show NEWS FROM PARAGONAH By Hilma Lamorcaux Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Robb, their daughter, Mrs, Penny Ward, and Mrs. Melva Barton anil son, J. Lowe, traveled to Salt Lake City early Sunday to attend the missionary testimonial test-imonial at Temple Square where Gaylord Robb was one of the departing missionaries. They also saw relatives. The Bartons visited with Mr. and Mrs. Howard Edwards and Mrs. Maggie Edwards. The Robbs visited with Ivans father, fat-her, Milton Robb and his wife. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Norton of Marysvale wore here Sunday to spend the day with Mrs. Eliza Norton and Mr. and Mrs. Orlo Topham. On Friday Mrs. Norton's niece, Mrs. Etta Riggs, of Salt Lake City visited hero with her. Mrs. Raynla Clark and two children of Cedar City were Saturday visitors here with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thornton. Mrs. Emma Topham observed obser-ved her 73rd birthday anniversary anniver-sary Saturday and arranged to have all available members mem-bers of her family with her for a part of the day. She served brunch to the Alma Topham family, ,the Sam Cutlers, Cut-lers, the Howard Tophams I and the Mark Hendersons. Al-I Al-I so Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Topham, Top-ham, who were here from Ce-l Ce-l dar City for the week end. Mrs. Topham's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Smith of Beaver also visited with her. Sunday Mrs. Viola LeFevre and daughter, Michele, of Salt Lake City arrived for a belated belat-ed birthday visit. They are spending the week here with the Mark Henderson family. ' Mr. and Mrs. Duane Lamorcaux Lamor-caux and children of Cedar City were here Sunday to vis-it vis-it with the Joe Lamorcaux and T. A. Robinson families. Mr. and Mrs. James H. Anderson An-derson were happy to have t their son, Lamarr home with them for the week end. He came from Norton Air Force Base, Calif. , Saturday evening the An-dersons An-dersons traveled to Cedar City ' to visit with son, Jimmy, and his family and Sunday the, Cedar Andersons visited here and they all went to Beaver to : eo family members there. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Rob-1 inson and children of Rich-1 field arrived here Saturday to' visit overnight with the Calvin Cal-vin Robinson and Errol Lamorcaux Lam-orcaux families. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Davenport Dav-enport and daughter, Louise, left for Salt Lake City early Sunday to keep appointments with Louise's doctor. They also met their son, Jerold, who came from Logan to see them. Mr. and Mrs. Renford Talbot Tal-bot traveled to Salt Lake City Friday night to spend the week end with family members, mem-bers, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Tal-' bot and Mr. and Mrs. Elwin Talbot and their four children. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Engle-stead Engle-stead arrived here from St. Ashton's son, Kenneth, andf his family. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson Rob-inson and grandson, Craig, spent Thursday evening in Cedar Ce-dar City with the Ralph Edwards Ed-wards family and attending the basketball tournament Mr. and Mrs. Clark Lamorcaux Lamor-caux are pround grandparents again with the Sunday arrival of a 7 pound 4 ounce boy bonr to Jerry and LaRae Mortensen, in the St. George hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Wimmer Mor-tenson Mor-tenson of Parowan are the paternal grandparents. Mrs. Connie Robinson and' three sons arrived 'here trortti Salt Lake City Thursday hav- ing come to Cedar City by plane. The boys spent the week end visiting at the Myron My-ron Abbott home while their-mother their-mother and Mrs. Abbott made-a made-a trip to New Mexico. The two women traveled by plane ta Allemogardo where they were met by Ella and Wally Wallace Wal-lace who hosted them overnight over-night and helped them with some business matters. , The ladies drove back home arriving ar-riving in Paragonah late Sunday. Sun-day. Connie and the boys returned re-turned to Salt Lake City ori Monday. Topham are proud grandparents grand-parents again. A wee boy was born on February 26 to Joe and Betty Topham of Salt Lake City. The other three children have been visiting here for several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Topham traveled to Las Vegas Saturday Satur-day for a week end vacation. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Humbert Rosenberg Rosen-berg of Cedar City. Mrs. Alene Prothero observed observ-ed the anniversary of her birthday Thursday. Her mother, mot-her, Mrs. Eliza Bonzo and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Susan Bon- George last week. Mr. Engle-stead Engle-stead is staying here with their daughter, Mrs. Given Jones. Mrs. Englestead went on to Bountiful to spend some time with Mrs. Maxine Keiffer who is recovering from surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Kite and son, Alan, of Clearfield visited visit-ed at the Chester Robinson home Monday. They were accompanied ac-companied by a nephew, Robert Rob-ert Kite and by Mrs. Leora Ashton of Provo. The group was enroute to Los Angeles for the funeral services of the Kite's brother-in-law and a visit with Mrs. |
