Show Sunday Services for Hebrews-. Pittsburg, November 18. At the session of the National Rabinical Convention of the Reformed Hebrew Church to-day, the subject sub-ject of Sabbath and school observances was discussed at some length and a resolution was adopted declaring that there is nothing in the spirit of Judaism or its laws to prevent the introduction of Sunday services in localities local-ities where the necessity for such service appears ap-pears or is felt. In the preamble to the resolution the importance of maintaining the historical Sabbath as a bond with the past and as a symbol of the unity of Judaism Juda-ism the world over, is recognized. After recommending the. formation of societies for the propagation of reformed Jewish doctrines among the poorer classes, the convention con-vention adjourned to meet in Cincinnati the first Monday in May, 188G. |
