Show I DEPARTURE OF THE COWBOTS. I tan and Nevada Delegrates Leave This morning: for St. Lovis. . It was a characteristic Western party that occupied the platform -of the Utah Central depot this morning, waiting for the train to pull out for Ogden, the party consisting of the Utah delegation to the St. Louis National Cattle and Horse Growers' Association which meets in St. Louis on the 23d inst. in a six days' session. - Two elegant Pullman palace cars were assigned for the use of the delegates, and streamers and other decorations on the outside were not wanting with which to let the passing world know who were the royal fellows traveling on the inside. Accompanying Ac-companying the Utah delegates were those gentlemen from Nevada mentioned in yesterday's Democrat, and a couple of delegates from California. At Ogden the party will be joined by the festive Idaho delegates, and all will proceed to Denver, at which place they will have a reception to-morrow night; thence j straight to St. Louis without a change of j cars. v Following are the delegates from Utah : j Salt Lake H. Since their departure the following dispatch dis-patch has been received from Ogden : To Salt Lake Democrat: Partv all right side up with care. Faust commenced com-menced the ball and led the chorus "We'll All Be Angels By-and-By." A proposition to put red paint on Cheyenne for ten minutes has just been carried bv a large majority. . From this it is evident that the delegates dele-gates are wasting no time. |
