Show . Snake Elver Placers. ' The Shoshone Journal says : Messrs. Donald McLean and A. -L. Anderson came up from their new placer mine near Shoshone Falls, having completed the flume and ditch for carrying water across the bar, which does all the work of washing wash-ing out the flour gold from the black sands. This claim is Baid to be rich in color and prospects well, and as soon as spring opens work will continue. Mr. McLean has gone to Eagle Rock to superintend sup-erintend the opening of a large ditch and extensive placer ground on Snake River, near that point, and he anticipates an active season at several points along the river. Salmon Falls continues to be the largest and most prosperous district yet opened, and operations will only be suspended a few weeks this winter, most of the claims working the year round. |
