M Dean Deanc c Staff Writer THE HE Learning Center has changed its hours THE 1 for th the upcoming quarter For all of summer summer summer sum sum- mer the center center will be open Thurs Mon-Thurs 7 9 pm p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. 1 pm p.m. It will be closed on most Fridays For students who are unaware of the center and the services they have to offer the LC is located in TB It is a place where students e- e can go when they need help on math assignments assignments assign assign- ments developmental reading ESL and many other courses We tutor students in all aU levels of math sa says s Diane Jenkins Free site on-site tutors are available at the LC to help students in basic math al alg algebra algebra al- al g gebra bra calculus and trigonometry Free tutors can also be found at the LC for assistance in ESL and developmental writing reading courses Students who would like a private tutor can find one through the center They coordinate coordinate coordinate coor coor- student-paid student private tutors for math reading ESL and many others including English biology history and most foreign languages Students can find also information information information tion on study groups at the LC Also part of the LC is the Computer Lab in TB which has computers available to all students Any student can use the computers computers computers com com- at the back of the lab to help themselves ves using the labs lab's software in Math 35 99 and in ESL The computers may also be used to work on writing assignments Jenkins urges students to come to the LC for help before they fall behind in their clas clas- ses We would like students to be aware of our area area says Jenkins We are here to help |
