Show I 1 prominent blanding anding BJ I 1 citizen succumbs following operation Opera tiou failing to to recuperate after a major abdominal operation george Wil william liani perkins 58 bi of blanding d died lc d in a salt lake hospital last friday morning at mr arr perkins I 1 had been ill for some time and hopes had been fully entertained entertain cd for his recovery when 2 a sudden change for the worse occurred and the family was notified of his big death immediately members of the family left for salt sali lake city returning with the remains saturday evening sir perkins was well and popularly known in san an juan county being extensively ten interested in livestock business busine cs and at one time serving as a county commissioner ile he served seized as missionary for foe the L D S church abut about 38 years ago laboring in the southern states mission and again was called to the northwestern states mission during the winter of 1914 15 in church capacity he was a member of the san juan stake high council a welfare worker and spending much of his time in the L DS church social security plan born in cedar city utah january 22 1879 he was the son el cf 1 hyrum and rachel M corey perkins who were among the original san juan county pioneers arriving at bluff in april 1880 sir perkins is survived by his widow adow mrs annie anie v ba aies ans 1 four sons earl clarence ray and r carl arl all 11 of cf blanding three daughters mrs airs lovene guymon and rosella a perkins of blanding and mrs airs marie peterson of tremonton Tre monton utah two brothers corey IT and danier daniel of blanding three sisters mrs maggie nielson bluff miss rachel perkins ki ng blanding and mrs airs janet ossman of salt lake city na asso also a number of grand children mr and mrs perkins were also the parents of a son danald who died in infancy funeral service vf held at the ni anding ward tabernacle sunday at 2 PM preceding and following the opening prayer offered by benjamin D black appropriate selections were ir by the choir chas redd of la sal and F W keller of price wore were the first speaker speak erSi being follow by a vocal quartette composed of mrs lucy LucyA adams danis mrs mis allief allia adams vernon and wilbur rowley president A R lyman uncle kunian kuman jones and president J B harris were the next speakers the quartette rendered the closing hymn end and the benediction was made by bishop A J redd of monticello floral offerings were beautiful and profuse many being sent by distant relatives and friends impressively the last mortal rites for george W were attended by a large congregation people coming from far an anu near to pay their last respects laal brial took place in the blanding L y cemetery president jhn rogers dilated dicia ted the grave |
