Show Girls named to soccer select team Four local soccer players traveled to Colorado Springs last weekend as members of the Utah women's select soccer squad. The v four participated in a tournament at the U.S. Olympic Training Center, where they were evaluated for consideration con-sideration for future national teams. - Going to the tournament were Amy Mason and Shelly Stott of Woods Cross High and Jenny . Dredge and Kris Rose of Bountiful High. As with several local boy players who went the week before, the purpose of the select team program is to choose players for a regional team that eventually leads to national and Olympic team selection. Amy, Jenny and Shelly are also members of the state's under 16 select team, along with Marilee Hawkins of Woods Cross High. Each has excelled in their soccer endeavors this season. Their coach is Dr. Lyle Mason. |
