Show District names new principal ' .; FARMINGTON Tuesday evening the Davis Board of Education Educa-tion appointed J. Wally Hawkins to the principalship of South Davis Junior High School. He will succeed suc-ceed Brycc Memmott who is retiring. re-tiring. Mr. Hawkins is currently assistant assis-tant principal at South Davis Junior High, a position he has held for the past five years. He received a Utah Administrative Certificate from BYU in 1981 and an Education Specialist Degree in school administration admi-nistration in 1985, . . During his 17 year career in education, edu-cation, Mr. Hawkins has taught physical education and driver's education at Woods Cross High School and Bountiful High School in addition to his assistant principalship princi-palship assignment. Mrs. Millie Fletcher, an English, U.S. history and psychology teacher at Woods Cross High School, received the appointment to assistant principal at South Davis Junior High. Mrs. Fletcher has a B.S. degree in history from the University of Utah and a masters mas-ters of science, Educational Administration Admi-nistration from the University of Utah. She has worked in the Davis County school system since 1969 ' teaching at the junior and senior high school levels. Mrs. Fletcher ' has also been area coordinator for ( Close'Up Projects, grants manager for the UCLA Department of Anthropology, social studies de-' de-' partment chairperson and a participant partici-pant in the Utah Council for Humanities Huma-nities curriculum writing project. |
