Show blanding ba d in 9 page P a 9 A clyde coult editor mm BLANDING ADOPTS RULES OF ORDER FOR ALL gatherings GATHERING 5 OF OE TOWN saturday evening february 15 the teachers training class held its regular weekly meeting m aeeti ii and class leader A R lyman presented resolutions which had been formulated by a special committee appointed by the bishopric they are as follows STANDARD OF ORDER FOR BLANDING 1 leaving the class or meeting is showing disrespect to all ha who remain whispering 2 talking laughing artenches ort ip slamming books or desks or benches enches banging doors hey he y y walking and all other forms u disorder should be avoided 3 the crime of public manners is gum chewing 4 tardiness is an enemy to any form of social site success cess 5 encores in sacred meetings means spiritual decay 6 if we truly love justice wo we will study the convenience of others which means that tha front seats must be occupied by those who come first so that those who are unavoidably detained can always be comfort ably seated with the least leas t inconvenience veni ence to themselves es and to the meeting these rules of order were also presented at all the sunday meetings and all ward and civil authorities agreed to uphold and enforce them all institutions of the town were asked to appoint before next meeting their delegates to the standing committee on deportment ir public recommendations 1 1 that the new church building be held absolutely for sacred purposes 2 that a standing committee on deportment iw ini public representing all the institutions of the town be formed in connection with the teachers training class 3 that the ordinance of the town of blanding anding BI relating to t 3 smoking in public be enforced ATTENTION to all presiding officers offic ers and teachers resul resolved 1 cd that all pres presiding idin officers and teachers of every association become nally responsible zor bior the standard of order established and maintained in his or her class or association and especially must the attitude of such individuals be maintained that will bear ing tation that all accept the accompanying definition of good order as the standard by which their classes or gathe gatherings r ings shall be gove rend that it shall be their person personal 1 duty to perfect all arrangements for their meetings or classes in order to foreit forestall all any embar rasing or disorderly delay that is shall be their duty to b egin begin promptly in order to eliminate I 1 tha noisy indefinite inter vals which precede too many gatherings that all their talking and planning be finished before the meeting and not carried on during in 9 the singing nor at any time or place where it will the meeting that in meetings of any size size where the hall is crowded pr or where the tendency is to disorder that competent ushers be appointed who shall not only seat the people but shall act ct as order police and shall demand the respect of all that all public announcements be regarded as sacred pledges and bear the weight of author ity which must be scrupulously kept that parents be asked to assume the responsibility for foi the behavior of their children in public whether they be little tots toddling up and down the aisles or big children sitting on back seats that the aged be shown all a due respect in public places |
