PORTION PORTION the state of utah has been allotted of the 1919 issue of war savings stamps and it is up to the people to loyally purchase the full allotment as soon as the apportionments of the different counties count iea is made 0 we people of the remote west who are improving our farms and just beginning to live should not look upon these purchases solely as investments because w we e see every day where we can put plit or our money to bring in better cretu return ans s but we should bear in nind mind that we are the foundation of the government as individuals as well as a whole and that as such we must bear our portion of the burden though it hamper us in our business to a certain extent the government govern men has wisely provided that where ever we become straightened we may get our money back with interest we must not let the financiers of the country have these bonds as by so doing we acknowledge that we are subservient to and dependent on these special interests an ac which puts us on a plane with the subjects of the kaiser who could only eniy move when commanded having no personal interest in their own government
