Show Educator honored i: -. ' . v '"'1 Brenda Bates, a special educator in the Davis School District, has been named the "Woman of the Year for 1986" by the Lytona Chapter of American Business Women Association. A GRADUATE of Utah State University in 1983 with a bachelor of science degree in special education, educa-tion, she has been employed since that time as a resource teacher. She has also completed courses to earn a special education degree to work with students who have behavioral disorders. Each summer Brenda volunteers time and training at a camp for the blind. Last year she served as camp director coordinating all activities acti-vities and supervising staff members. mem-bers. SHE HAS served as membership " chairwoman of the ABWA and has BRENDA BATES been a member of the Ways and Means Committee. |
