Show Writers invited to meet Please note: the meeting will be held in the basement of Servus Drug. The chapter has been holding hold-ing meetings in the basement of the Bountiful library but due to remodeling remod-eling of the building they will hold summer meetings at other locations. The Bountiful Chapter of the League of Utah Writers extends an invitation to interested local writers wri-ters to attend their monthly meeting meet-ing to be held in the basement of Servus Drug, May 20 at 6:45 p.m. SPEAKER for the evening will be Kolette Montague, a winner in both local and national poetry contests con-tests and a winner in state prose competition. She will speak on writing and marketing children's literature. li-terature. Included in her presentation presenta-tion will be some of the Do's and Don'ts of writing for children, as well as guidelines for the most marketable mar-ketable themes in today's magazines maga-zines and books for children. Mrs. Montague has had children's chil-dren's poetry, story and a Children's Chil-dren's Creative Activity Book published. pub-lished. Locally, she has taught a children's creative writing class, and taught for four years in local elementary schools. She is a native Utahn. Currently she is a media aid at Centerville Elementary School. SHE HAS served as president of the Bountiful Poetry Chapter and is currently Parliamentarian of the State League of Utah Writers. |
