Show I l -x If V, or.. rn rliil SHANE FARRINGTON CRAIG MAEDGEN KENT JAMESON Gain Eagle honors Shane Farrington was honored Sunday, March 23 at the Bountiful 4 1st Ward for the attainment of his Eagle Scout award. SHANE LIVES with his parents, Karen and Steve Farrington, younger youn-ger brother Zakari and younger sister sis-ter Stephanie, at 121 N. Davis Blvd., Bountiful. He is a ninth grade student at Bountiful Jr. High. Shane loves the outdoors where he spends many hours motorcycling, motorcycl-ing, hunting and fishing. His eagle project reflects his interest in wildlife wild-life and nature where he planted bitterbush in the spring for the winter win-ter survival of the deer herds. He also has natural ability in mechanical mecha-nical and electrical repair and is Craig Maedgen, son of Bill and Vivian Maedgen has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He is a member mem-ber of Troop 108 sponsored by the Bountiful Second Ward. HE RECEIVED the award in an Eagle Court held in the Second Ward on April 29. For his Eagle project Craig, with the help of the troop, made a quilt which was donated to the Primary Children's Medical Center. CRAIG AND his family express their thanks to all the scout leaders who have helped with this achievement, achieve-ment, especially Scott Hansen, Steve Holbrook, John Graham, Joe Palmer and Meredith Palmer. Kent Jameson, son of Allen and Collene Jameson, Bountiful, recently re-cently received his Eagle Scout award at a special Court of Honor on Sunday, April 20 in Troop 465. KENT IS an 8th grade student at Millcreek Jr. High where he is active ac-tive in Mustang Band and is a member mem-ber of the track and wrestling teams. Kent has earned his Arrow of Light in Cub Scouts. He also has earned 29 merit badges in scouts, completed a 50-mile wilderness hike with his troop, has also graduated gradu-ated from Silver Moccasin Jr. Leader Training. He has also served as assistant senior patrol leader. FOR HIS Eagle project, Kent collected and destroyed out-dated medicines and with the help of scouts in his troop, distributed information in-formation on poisons and also gave a bottle of syrup of Ipecac to over 100 families in his neighborhood. Kent would like to thank his scoutmaster, Cliff Tobler, for helping help-ing him to achieve this goal. known tor his creative inventions. Shane is an expert woodworker and has made many useful items for the family. WE WOULD like to thank all the leaders, family and friends who helped Shane in this accomplishment accomplish-ment and for Shane for sticking to his committment and making his family proud. |
