Show In an exclusive to the "Bulletin" Mr. John S. Boyden said: I am indeed grateful to the delegates dele-gates and friends who made possible poss-ible our victory last Saturday. Gratitude is mixed with concern as I sense the full responsibility of the trust. Through its duly selected representatives rep-resentatives the Democratic Party of Utah has now limited to two the candidates to be placed upon the primary ballot. On September 11 the public at large will be given the opportunity to participate partici-pate in the final selecfftn. With earnestness of purpose and with vigor for the cause I dedicate myself to the task of re-convincing the people of this state as to the virtues and advantages of rets re-ts rning dignified government to Ljtah a dignity which presupposes presup-poses a faith in the future of our people, a solemn regard for our economic and social welfare, a leadership without demagoguery, and a humility without loss of force. Realizing the impossibility of visiting with each of you personally, personal-ly, I shall use the best means available to keep you informed, and I invite your active participation participa-tion with me. Together I hope we may demonstrate that the people demand responsibility on the part of its officials in discharging dis-charging their duties to the end that fairness and common sense direct our every move. |
