Show GRANITE VOTES BUILDING PROGRAM HERE The outlined building program for the Granite school district was given approval by an almost 15 to one margin Tuesday in the special spe-cial bond election. The 72 precincts counted 4654 in favor of the program and 325 opposed in what was termed a light vote. Double day sessions would be necessary in all elementary schools it had been pointed out by district officials and this is believed to be one of the main factors in the increase in voters. Morningside Heights elementary school will be the first in the building project. The bids for the building were let a week! ago. The program calls for additions to the West Kearns, Whittier and Woodstock elementary schools and and auditorium at the Olympus junior high. Supt. David Gourley said priority pri-ority in the construction program v would be as necessity demanded. |
