Show Puppets Thrill Children in Sugar House Folllowing closely after last Friday's opening of Sugar House's Christmas season, a pppet show sponsored by the South East Furniture. Co., has drawn capacity crowds all this week The show, which has been presented at several of the larger cities in the nation has enjoyed its greatest success m Sugar House, according to its creator, Johnny Faust. Crowds See "Alice" -Labeled, "Alice in Wonderland," Wonder-land," the show started Monday afternoon, Nov. 28, with the South East Furniture Co. auditorium audi-torium filled with tiny tots and their parents. The first day, 1785 people attended the four shows, according to Horace A. Sorensen, manager of the com- pany. Special Showings In attendance at one of the Tuesday showings was a class of pupils from the Roosevelt School. Wednesday, in addition to the regular showings, Mr. Faust presented his entertaining entertain-ing show-at the-St. Ann's Orphanage. Or-phanage. The little patients at the Children's Hospital saw the show Thursday. Children of the employes of the South East Furniture Co. were given a special spe-cial showing Wednesday evening. eve-ning. The nationally - famous show also appeared on television last Tuesday evening. Performances today (Friday, Dec. 3) will be at 1:30, 3 and 4:30 p.m., with a special evening strvw beginning at 7:30 p.m. Sat urday showings, which will be the last, will be at 10:30 a.m., 1:30 and 3 p.m. Those interested interest-ed in attending are advised to come early. Window Entertains Another drawing c5'rd to Sugar Su-gar House during the Christmas celebration is the "Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus" animated display in the window of the furniture company. An addition will be made this week to the display in the person of an animated cat, which will sit on a stool in front I of Mrs. Santa Claus, Mr. Soren-! Soren-! sen announced. |
