Show Mayor of S. H. Family, Friends To Honor N. J. Hansen, 80 Sunday, Dec. 5, family and friends will honor Nephi J-Hansen, J-Hansen, pioneer Sugar House businessman and industrialist, on his 80th birthday. Mr. Hansen Han-sen will spend the day m a local lo-cal hospital where he ir receiving re-ceiving treatment for a broken vertebrae in his neck, result of a fall last Saturday. Mr. Hansen Han-sen was born Dec. 5, 1868. For 60 years Nephi Hansen has been one of Sugar House's best known figures. For years he was known unofficially as "the Mayor of Sugar House." In his lifetime he figured prominently prom-inently in practically every major ma-jor business or civic development develop-ment made in the community up until his retirement from active ac-tive business enterprise several years ago. Farm Boy Son of Peter and Rosma ; Jenne Hansen, Nephi Hansen 1 was born aad raised on his father's fa-ther's farm on 6th East and Driggs Ave., adjacent to Forest Dale. He worked on the farm and hauled logs down from nearby canyons as a youth; attended at-tended local schools (grade 1 school was a crudely built a- dobe, one room structure lo- cated at the present site of Irv- ing Jr. High)., and the L.
