MOFFITT j legionnaires wives who would like to attend their meetings which are held every second Thursday in the month. The Drum, and Bugle Corps had its usual Monday night meeting. Experiences at the Saturday Sat-urday parade were discussed. Manager Cliff Husbands told of how he was delayed in the traffic traf-fic and discovered Comrade Lar-sen Lar-sen directing traffic at North Temple and Main Streets! Formation of next year's baseball base-ball team is also underway. District Commander Leonard Larsen informed us of a coming stag party. Several Posts in District Dis-trict 3 will sponsor the affair. A date has not as yet, been established. By Carl Springman At their Nov. 27 meeting, Post 65 learned, through Major Steel from the Air Service, of the Air Corps' program to keep in contact con-tact with all World Warll Air veterans. This program fulfills the desire of the Air Corps to keep in contact with the veteran and, with no obligation, keep him informed as to the Air Corps' activity; The veteran can give the information the service desires de-sires by filling out cards which can be obtained at any Legion post. ( Sgt. Griswald of the Army Recruiting Re-cruiting service met with us once again. He showed us some very interesting films, among which was a captured German film depicting de-picting the invasion of Poland. Comrade Torres T h o m a s e n spoke of the activities of the legionnaires le-gionnaires sons and daughters. He outlined the many possibilities possibili-ties for accomplishment, afforded to the fellows and girls by the legion. He then told of how the legion and the entire coinunity benefit by these activities. The Drum and Bugle Corps, spon- The Ladies Auxiliary met at the Sugarhouse library Nov. 27. Airs Hamilton, in charge of the entertainment, had prepared an enjoyable program. Virginia Grubb and Margaret Graham participated in the program. An Auxiliary Xmas party is scheduled sched-uled for Dec. 11. Guess who will be Santa! A motion was passed for the purchas of an Auxiliary banner. This will be the first one they've had. Another motion was passed whereby the laries will continue to send candy to the boys overseas. over-seas. They have carried this service ser-vice for the past 4 years and will continue doing so.
