Show Troop 199 Plan Annual Party The first annual scout banquet, ban-quet, of Troop 199, Boy Scouts of America, will be held Saturday, ; Dec. 7. at Parleys ward, accord-, ing to Victor M. Johnson, scoutmaster. scout-master. Lynn Jarvis, senior patrol pa-trol leader will act as toastmas-ter. toastmas-ter. A full program of awards and entertainment has been planned. The pre-banquet program will consist of t h e flag ceremony, opening song and prayer, the judging of patrol table displays and awarding of prizes and community com-munity singing. The banquet program will be under the direction of Toastmas-ter. Toastmas-ter. Lynn Jarvis, who will introduce intro-duce the opening speaker, Scoutmaster Scout-master Johnson. After a piano solo by Lamar Noorda, two parents par-ents will address the banquet-Scouting," banquet-Scouting," by a scout mother; and "A Dad's Eye-view of Scouting," Scout-ing," by a scout father. After a trumpet duet by Kenneth Ken-neth Karren and Marlow Coles. J. Ivor Boyce, chairman of the advancements of the troop committee, com-mittee, will speak on "Resume of Troop's Activities During the Past Year." He will be followed by Claas Henry who will present, pre-sent, "Camping Plans for the Coming Year." Scout Chief D. E. Hammond will then make the awarding of badges and will address the scouts and their guests briefly. The remaining events on the program will be the patrol stunts by the six patrols in Troop 199. Bishop Borg, chaplain of the troop, will, give the closing address. |
