Lin-schoten, Lin-schoten, 22!7 AVindsor Ave. The happy couple will wed come the spring. Taking a step into the bridal spotlight is Ruth Boyce of Holla-day. Holla-day. She married Ernest Arthur Ar-thur Higgins in the LDS temple in Salt Lake not so long ago. Ruth is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Boyce. Ernest is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest H. Higgins, 1345 E. 39th South. Joseph Fielding Smith, an uncle of the bride, performed the ceremony. John Boud, top flight Sugar House attorney is an uncle again! And there never lived an uncle un-cle who is crazier about his nieces and nephews than is John. The newcomer is a daughter of Wilford Moyle and Dorothy Bond Burton, 920 22nd East St. A beautiful temple ceremony united the former Miss Dorothy Borg and Harold G. Smith in marriage. Dorothy is the daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Borg, 1120 Wilson Aye. Harold is a son of the George G. Smiths. 821 Westminster Ave. Both families, fam-ilies, needless to say, are prominent prom-inent southeasterners. A reception recep-tion was held later in the day at the Ivins ward. Mrs. Allan Searle, matron of honor; Miss Mary Borg, Miss Veralu Paulson, Miss Norma Tittensor and Miss Madge Petty attended the lovely bride. Iceland Ice-land Smith was best man. Somehow or other these south-easterners south-easterners seem to get together . . . cream of the younger generation gen-eration crop is in this neck of the woods, says we. Another team who tied the knot in this area are Betty Janet Sanford and Charles R. Webb. The former Miss Sanford is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence A. Sanford, San-ford, 1344 Park St. and Charles is a son of the Richard S. Webbs, 2647 llth East. They were married mar-ried in a home ceremony performed per-formed by Kenneth E. Lake. The bride's sister, Marjorie, was bridesmaid and Mrs. Eugene Keith was matron of honor. George Webb was best man for his brother. Candlelight and wedding cake, rice and tin cans, flowers and bride's illusion . . . the lixin's for a home ceremony that united Beverly Ann Nelson and Warren War-ren Bruce Thornhlad. The couple cou-ple was wed by Bishop N. J. Teerlink at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Nelson, 2(i17 llth East. Mr. Thornblad is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilford T. Thornblad of Sandy. The newlyweds are honeymooning in San Francisco. |
