Show Dance Social Follows Irving High Graduation advice as to what they should plan for their future. At the conclusion of the program the students and their parents were invited over to the Sugar House ward where a reception re-ception was held. Everything from jitterbug to a smooth waltz was done and the refreshments were enjoyed by all. By Mari'yn Parker (Graduating Class Historian) The time for graduation has at last arrived. On Tuesday, June 5, students of the Irving High School held graduation exercises in the school auditorium. It began be-gan by a grand march where all the students marched across the stage and into their places. So new dresses, suits, and other graduation finery were displayed, display-ed, proud parents in the baleony popped a button or two. Jerry Davis, sophomore president, presided as chairman and announced an-nounced the program. Talk on what would be remembered re-membered about Irving, and what to look forward to at our new schools were given by Josephine Jo-sephine Wolf and Brent Eager. The girls sextette, under the direction di-rection of Miss Ivie Ensign, sang a number and Marilyn Hegassy sang a solo. Our main speaker was Brother Mark E. Petersen, prominent business man. and a member of the council of twelve in the L. D. S. Church. His talk was enjoyed by all students and they received some excellent |
